MYFITNESSPAL
In the wild west days of Android (circa 2011), long before Material, I provided design support to MyFitnessPal in translating functionality from their iPhone app to Android.
MyFitnessPal was quickly becoming a highly popular nutrition and fitness tracking application, completely free, with:
• a superior foods database, curated by MFP users
• a burgeoning community
• an ad-free iPhone app that was intuitively easy to use
MFP asked me to quick-turn design for a few features in high-fidelity wireframes, focusing on features new to the iPhone app, including: intra-app messaging between users, reminder push notifications, and a summary widget for the Android home screen. My wireframes were, essentially, annotated comps intended for quick implementation, and working with the team at MFP was easy and fun.
